Prayer Ministry
Evangelist Regina Brownlow
"The Internet Evangelist”
Service to the Lord is an essential part of one’s spiritual growth and development, for the Bible says that “Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant” (Matt. 20:27). Evangelist Regina Brownlow is a woman of God that has given her life to service. She is a member of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith (PCAF) organization but her ministry is made available to all.
Please check back in the near future for an interactive prayer list and more from the Internet Evangelist.
How Evangelist Regina Brownlow became the “Internet Evangelist”…
I started around 1980 to yearn for the communication with God through prayer. I was attending 5:00 a.m. prayer with my father-in-law at Bethlehem Healing Temple; now called Greater Bethlehem Temple. I was very dedicated to accompanying him to prayer. While praying one morning, God spoke to me and said, “Why don’t you start a 6:00 a.m. prayer at CTAFC, your own church, so that others may have an opportunity for sacrificial prayer, too? Upon this directive I approached my pastor who instructed me that I didn’t need his permission to start a prayer group. So 6:00 a.m. prayer was started. I would get up around 4:30 a.m. and begin my rounds in the Church Van, to pick up those interested in praying at 6:00 a.m.; we had about 8 that would attend every morning. Cold, snow, sleet, or hail they would come to prayer. We would have guests to come such as Evangelist Ruff, Evangelist Scott to come and share a word of wisdom, and to encourage us to stay in the fight praying. What a joy it was praying so early in the morning.
I was later hired downtown and my job began to hinder my efforts and I asked the Lord to show me someone that would take over the reins. I truly believe that the Lord gives you an idea or directs you to start something and then train someone else to take over. Appointments or titles are there for you to perfect and then train others to take over. No one is supposed to die in a position without training someone else to take his or her place. After much prayer, my 2nd selection turned out to be dedicated to the cause and remains to this day, doing an excellent job. She’s there if it’s just her and her husband.
I missed it so much and wanted to continue the prayer group I began to send out prayer request via email. My email group began to build with people interested in praying for others. My love for prayer and God’s people continued through the Internet (emails). I developed a following of over 350 prayer warriors, who love to pray, across the nation. It included Africa, France, Canada, Hawaii, Ireland, Russia, Jamaica, London and the United States. District Elder Jerry Baldwin emailed me one day and said, “You are the Internet Evangelist” and since then I’ve carried that name. After much prayer, fasting and distributing emails, many other prayer groups have developed through Facebook, through conference lines etc., whatever, way God chooses for His people to pray it is a blessing. I continue to send out prayer request and I support the churches by sending out any announcements about upcoming events, and/or funeral arrangements etc.
It hasn’t been easy, the devil fought tooth and nail, but the prayers of the righteous availed much. With the help of God I continue to this day, in Jesus name; until He chooses someone else.
