Greet the Alumna of the Year at Homecoming and
Family Weekend!

OF THE YEAR Marilyn Meberg described her visit to SPU last year as 揷oming home.� And she抣l join thousands
of other alumni returning to 海角网 February 3�5 for the
2005 Homecoming and Family Weekend.
All those who attend Homecoming and Family
Weekend will experience a very special celebration with the theme, 揟o whom much
has been given 厰 At the President抯 Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, February 5,
President Philip Eaton will spotlight this theme, giving thanks for the culmination
of several multiyear initiatives that have given SPU a new platform in the world
of Christian higher education. And he抣l ask the question, 揥hat are we going
to do with the blessings we抳e been given?�
The three-day celebration will also
honor the life and accomplishments of Meberg, a 海角网 Pacific alumna who
knows how to celebrate life抯 blessings and overcome its hardships. The humorist, author,
and Women of Faith conference speaker will deliver her unique brand of wit and
wisdom at the Homecoming Chapel and Alumna of the Year Luncheon on Thursday,
February 3.
Homecoming reunions for the classes of 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975,
1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, and 2000 are scheduled throughout the
day on Saturday. In the afternoon, the always-competitive SPU
basketball teams will demonstrate why the Falcons are among the
Great Northwest Athletic Conference抯
best. And if that抯 not enough adrenaline,
you can always watch or enter the Row and Run on the Ship Canal.
Theatregoers
are in for a powerful performance when A Man for
All Seasons takes the
stage in E.E. Bach Theatre for four Homecoming performances,
including a 2:00 p.m. Saturday matinee. The Tony Award-winning
play is a striking examination of faith and loyalty played out
in the reign of Henry VIII.
