Education: MS, Warsaw University, 1969; PhD, Warsaw Polytechnic University, 1976. At SPU 1988鈥�2019. Emerita since 2019.
Joanna Poznanska聽was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. She聽visited the United States as an international scholar to Johns Hopkins University in 1978. In 1980, she returned to the United States to work on academic research at Princeton University.
In 1981, Dr. Poznanska聽was awarded the Sage Scholarship at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. In 1982,聽she started her academic teaching career, teaching聽at SUNY University in Albany, New York, for two years. In 1985, Dr. Poznanska聽joined her husband at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, where聽she聽was involved in a research program. In 1986, she was offered a teaching position at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs. In 1988, she became聽a faculty member in SPU's School of Business and Economics.
