Admission to the Major or Minor Applicants for a major or minor within the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Lingusitics must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher in all college work applicable to the B.A. degree and a 2.5 GPA in 10 credits of coursework at SPU in foreign languages and literatures, Linguistics, and/or European or Latin American Studies. A student must complete the major or minor requirements in effect when the student is admitted to the major or minor. European Studies: Europe Major Students must be proficient in a European language at the intermediate level (through 2103 for most languages, 3300 for Russian).
