EXERCISE SCIENCE MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 72 total and 41 upper-division credits are required for the BS in Exercise Science major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

YEAR 1	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Major	CHM 1100 OR CHM 1211	CHM 1330 OR CHM 1211(if you took CHM 1100 autumn)	CHM 1330 (if you took CHM 1211 winter quarter)	PES 1301

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Begin or resume foreign language competency courses, if not complete. Complete ENG 2201 if required. Unless you are exempt, take the Math Placement Test at least three academic quarters before you intend to take your Exploratory Curriculum math class.			AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB, or MAT (Choose two or three Exploratory Curriculum courses)

Other				Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

Other	Apply for admission to the major once 45 quarter credits of college coursework have been completed with a minimum 2.5 GPA, including 9 credits taken at SPU that apply toward the major.			Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Other	Achieve a satisfactory score in all six areas of the Fitnessgram. Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.			Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed
